Amy Arthur, Chair

Amy is attending CDCI West as a grade 11 student. She has volunteered at Legion Village and has participated in various Interact activities, including: CDCI West’s Christmas dinner, Halloween for Hunger, and projects for Kilema.
Amy is also one of the Executive members of Interact this year. She has organized 2 invents in her school regarding her school’s Kilema project. Amy has been a coach at Northumberland Gymnastics for three years. Her favourite quote is, “nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something.”
Her interests include: Gymnastics, swimming, snow boarding, and spending time with family and friends.
Courtney Saunders

Courtney is attending CDCI West as a grade 11 student. She has volunteered at the Cobourg Public Library, Halloween for Hunger, Northumberland Hills Hospital, Blood Donor Clinic, Corps 88 Army Cadets, Multi Sport Triathlon.
She is also a volunteer coach for the youth paddling group at Cobourg Dragon Boat and Canoe Club.
Her interests include: mountain biking, playing guitar, running, camping, and canoeing.
Britanny Pegg

Brittany is a grade 11 student at CDCI East in the International Baccalaureate programme. She has volunteered numerous times with Quinte United Immigration Services in Belleville, such as helping out with the Halloween and Christmas socials, or helping out during the Soccer Fun Day.
She also volunteered with the Halloween for Hunger food drive last year. Her interests include drama and singing, and Math and Sciences.
Aaron Simmons

Aaron is a graduate of CDCI East and currently works part-time at the Cobourg Library. Aaron’s experiences in volunteering started in high school with the YMCA day camps.
He has also been involved in leadership development for people with disabilities, and has been recognized for his community involvement by the town of Cobourg.
Aaron is an avid Heavy Metal music fan, and for the past few years has been organizing and promoting metal concerts in the area through his production company Wheeling Rampage Productions.
He also created and maintains a popular blog of music and music reviews and social commentary.

Taylor Wark

Taylor is going into third year at CDCI West. She has volunteered at the Hospitals Children’s christmas party, CDCI West’s Christmas Dinner, breast cancer hockey tournament, The Walk to End Bullying Boston Pizza Celebrity Server, relay for Life, and CDCI West’s read a thon.
Taylor’s interests include: horseback riding, reading, hanging out with friends, and volleyball.
Kendall MacDiarmid

Kendall is attending St.Mary’s as a grade 11 student. She has volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and various Interact activities.
Her interests include: music and cooking. Kendall’s enthusiasm is a great asset to the council.
Sarah Pudwell

This will be Sarah’s third year attending CDCI West. She is a member of the Interact group at the West and is currently one of the executive members for the group this year.
She has helped with Halloween for Hunger, and the yard sale for Kilema.
Cassidy Sweet

My Name is Cassidy Sweet I go to St. Mary Secondary school and I am in Grade 9.
I love reading and playing all types of sports. I volunteer on the Cobourg Community Centre youth group and I also helped with the walk to end bullying.
Aidan Simmons

Aidan attends CDCI East in grade 11. Prior to officially joining NYAC he volunteered for the past few years with for the Halloween for Hunger Drive, the annual Holiday dinner and the Walk to End Bullying.
Aidan has a passion for guitar and music in general. In addition to a growing collection of guitars he has set up a small home recording studio where he experiments with many different musical styles.
He plans to attend college for music studies with the goal of having a career in producing and performing down the road.
