Unleashing the Leader in All of Us and Creating Impact in Your Community

If you are between the ages of 16-28 you’re invited to join The Northumberland Youth Advisory Council for a fun and exciting event .

Date: Saturday, November 9, 2013
Time: 8:30am – 6pm
Location: Northumberland YMCA,
339 Elgin Street, Cobourg

Thanks to the generosity of our community partners there is no cost for this event. However, space is limited so register TODAY by calling Jamie Simmons at 905.372.8315 ext. 225 or by email at

The focus of the day is to bring together a diverse group of youth between the ages of 16-28 to explore the leadership qualities innate in all of us. You’ll explore ways to tap into those skills and qualities to impact positive change and help address the issues and challenges faced by youth in our communities.

This event is part of the Northumberland Youth Advisory Council’s (NYAC) goal of encouraging young people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved and get engaged in their communities across Northumberland. As our population ages it is increasingly challenging to attract and retain new volunteer and NYAC is committed to helping develop young community leaders and promoting the benefits of volunteerism and community engagement.

Leaders think and talk about the solutions. Followers think and talk about the problems. —Brian Tracy
